    Durham University is a collegiate public research university with a second campus in Stockton-on-Tees. With a population of 18,000 students it is ranked 97th in the World University Rankings (2018) and 74th in the QS World University Rankings for (2019).

    As you might expect from a university city with such a sterling reputation, its local schools follow suit. Many young families locate to the city in the hope of being in the catchment area for one of the city’s highly-regarded state schools.

    Durham Johnston Comprehensive School is considered to be one of the best not only in Durham, but the entire North-East region.
