    All belongings destined for the United States are shipped by either sea freight or airfreight, with flexible services available to cater to a variety of needs and budgets. To ensure that your requirements are met, we provide our customers with two options when shipping their belongings to the USA:

    Part Load

    Our part-load service is especially designed for customers who are not shipping an entire household worth of goods and is also the recommended option for those on a tighter budget. Your belongings will be transported to the USA in a shared container. This means that customers using the part-load option will only be charged for the amount of space used. It is important to note that those choosing this service will have to be willing to wait a little longer for their goods to arrive in the USA.

    Full Load

    White & Company recommend using a full-load container if you are shipping a full house load of goods to the USA. When choosing this option, your costs will include the space of the entire container, which means you can fill it however you want. The full-load service provides customers with much more flexibility and will typically arrive faster than the part-load alternative.

    When you select the full-load shipping service, our team in the United Kingdom will load your items into our vehicles and transport them to our export packing depot. Following that, your belongings will be loaded into a container bound for the port of entry closest to your new home in the United States. Keep in mind, this option is more expensive than a part-load move, but the faster shipping and delivery times may be appealing.

    How Long Do Removals to the USA Take?

    The time it takes for your goods to leave the UK and arrive in the United States is largely determined by the shipping method you choose, as well as the specific destination you are moving to in the country.

    Sea freight times from the United Kingdom to the United States are approximately 4-6 weeks for a full-load or 7-10 weeks for our part-load service.     When importing furniture to the USA, you must ensure you comply with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations. This means that you have to declare all items being imported and may have to pay some import duties.

    Like many countries, the USA has some strict regulations regarding wood and upholstery. Furniture made of certain types of wood or containing specific upholstery materials might be subject to additional scrutiny or restrictions.
