Survey
ur experienced surveyor will visit your home to conduct a pre-move survey to ascertain the volume of effects being shipped.
This involves him/her walking through the property room by room noting what items are to be exported and recording it on his electronic tablet. A written quotation will follow within 48 hours.
Storage
You may find you need to store some or all of your possessions for a period of time prior to moving abroad.

Packing
When our quotation has been accepted and a move date has been secured, the vehicle and removal team will arrive at residence.
The removal team will proceed to pack and wrap all items being shipped and load onto vehicle for delivery to our closest depot or for full loads, directly onward to your home in Malta.

Customs Information
When you move to a new country, and are importing used household effects, there are certain essential documents that customs will need in order to clear your effects. Like most worldwide countries Malta has very strict importation regulations and consequences if regulations are not adhered to.
The owner of the goods will have up to 6 months to take up residence and appear before Customs to finalise. All goods must be used to avoid tax and duties. Any newly purchased items will be subject to import taxes and duties and a purchase receipt will need to be produced to customs. All shipments are physically inspected and shipments must arrive within six months.
To ensure that you do not incur any extra charges due to customs delays, it is imperative that you familiarise yourself with Malta’s customs regulations. White and Company can also assist with this but it is well worth doing your own research to ensure there are no nasty surprises.

Property In Malta

Malta was a former British colony and expats will find its education system very familiar.
Most private schools in Malta are affiliated with the Catholic Church and as a rule, church schools do not charge fees. Parents will be expected to pay for school supplies and make a donation each year. There are also several good independent schools, although these do tend to be very expensive.

Healthcare
