The annual Highland Festival celebrates Corby’s strong Scottish links. Featuring pipe bands and highland dancing it is always a fantastic day out for all of the family.
Rockingham Forest, an ancient woodland covering an area of 200 square miles was once William the Conqueror’s favourite hunting forest. A popular place to enjoy the fresh air and wide-open space.
Sitting proudly within the Forest is Rockingham Castle. Open to the public, it is a remarkably informative place to visit.
Ten minutes by road from Corby is Fermyn Woods Country Park. A real family attraction offering lots of walking trails, play areas, fishing, and wildlife. Home to lots of creatures such as jays, squirrels, deer, and red kites.
Corby Boating Lake is situated in the heart of Corby. The lake boasts a wide range of geese and ducks. Fishing is available and the Hazel and Thoroughsale Woods offer three attractive walks.
Corby Heritage Centre is a 17th-century grade two listed building in what is known locally as Corby’s Old Village. The centre holds regular exhibitions which are free to attend, and its displays are changed regularly so you can visit again and again.

The area is made up of Corby town, as well as a group of smaller villages, giving those buying a new home in Corby plenty of choice.
Whilst the town offers prospective buyers an assortment of styles, it is the 1950 and 1960s properties make up the bulk of homes currently available.
However, this is changing year on year as the town’s transformation continues and new build sites are snapped up by developers such as Wimpey and Persimmon.
