    The surveyor will either visit your home or conduct a video survey and note any items you want to transfer.

    3 Packing

    Rugby Schools & Education

    With a plethora of good schools in the area, Rugby is ideally placed for a well-rounded education.

    Excellent primaries within a mile from the town centre; Northlands Primary, St Marie’s Catholic and St Andrews Benn C of E all “good” says Ofsted with Abbots Farm Junior being rated as “outstanding”.

    There is a mix of ten secondaries, independents, special schools, and several “good” state funded schools. Both Rugby High School and Ashlawn School were awarded an “outstanding” rating according to their most recent last Ofsted inspections.

    The independent Rugby School is located in the town. It is here that the game of rugby originated and upon which Thomas Hughes’ book Tom Brown’s School Days was based.

    The school has been in existence since 1567 and is one of the oldest private schools in Britain. Today Rugby School accommodates between 800-850 pupils, 10% of which are from overseas.

    Things to do in Rugby

    Rugby holds the unique position as the birthplace of rugby football and, as you would expect, many of the town’s attractions stir the passions of sporting enthusiasts.

    Art lovers can relish in Rugby’s renowned collection of contemporary art, housed alongside Rugby’s Tripontium collection of Roman artefacts, in the impressive Art Gallery, Museum & Library.

    Open spaces include Caldecott Park. Regularly featured in the “Britain in Bloom” competition, it’s a beautiful place to spend some time. Set in over 10 acres of grounds, the town-centre park offers a wide range of recreational facilities now including two new play areas, a multi-use sports area and a cafe.

    The town is connected to the National Canal Network via the Oxford Canal. Popular with boaters, anglers, walkers, and cyclists. It is a popular stopping over point for holiday makers in canal boats.

    For rainy days, head to the Cineworld complex. A great place to watch the latest movies followed by dinner in one of the fantastic restaurants in the town centre.
