    Why Move to Hinckley?

Experiencing somewhat of a renaissance in recent years, the Leicestershire market town of Hinckley has experienced all sorts of well received changes. What was once a tired rather run-down place has been given a new lease of life; a brand-new Sainsbury store, a modern leisure centre a cinema and lots of new eateries have transformed the town to great benefit.

Many of the area’s villages have historical connections and interesting stories to tell.
One of the most famous being the Battle of Bosworth. It was fought close to the town at Sutton Cheney, where King Richard III lost his life in 1485. Notably, one of the most popular poets of the 17th Century John Cleveland was born in Hinckley.

Not being far from the large cites of Coventry and Leicester, Hinckley is convenient for work or play. To top it off property prices are remarkably good making it a great place to invest, with many properties going for well under the national average. A transport hub, the main M69, M1, A5 and A47, provide Hinckley with excellent road links not just to Coventry but also to Leicester and Nuneaton and other routes off the M1. Rail connections are just as good.

Several large companies have bases in and close to the town such as Ultima Sports, the British manufacturers of the sensational Le Mans inspired Ultima supercar, one of the fastest road going cars in the world. Just outside the town you can relax and immerse yourself in nature. Hinckley is surrounded by green rolling countryside and picturesque villages the beauty of the local environment is very apparent.

    Schools & Education

Hinckley’s primary schools are of a good standard with seven to choose from.

Hinckley Parks and St. Peter’s Catholic are both “good” reports Ofsted whilst the Barwell Church of England Academy was ranked as “outstanding”.

“Good” rated high schools include Hastings High School and Heath Lane Academy but the Redmoor Academy “requires improvement” says Ofsted.

North Warwickshire & Hinckley College, a Further Education college, is also in the town. The only other major college in the area is William Bradford located in Earl Shilton.

Within Hinckley there is also Dorothy Goodman Special School which caters for both juniors and seniors with disabilities, it also has units integrated within other local schools.

There is a campus of North Warwickshire & Hinckley FE in the town. However, it’s main campuses are in Nuneaton, Hinckley, Harrowbrook and Wigston.
