The largest town in South Lanarkshire, East Kilbride was one of Scotland’s first “New Towns”. Built as an alternative solution to the overcrowding conditions residents were experiencing in 1947 following WW2. East Kilbride has since gone on to become one of the most successful new towns in Scotland.

East Kilbride Schools & Education

Calderglen High shares a campus with Sanderson High School, a special school catering to students with learning difficulties.
FE provision is via South Lanarkshire College. The college offers a range of courses which cover most career-focused qualifications.
