    Hedge End was inhabited by the Belgae tribe prior to the Roman conquest so there has been people living in this area for centuries. The exact origin of the name Hedge End is uncertain, but it was in use by the beginning of the 18th century when it was well known in the region for strawberry growing, its town emblem reflects this history.

    Things to do in Hedge End
