You will not be short of things to do in Skipton. There are Museums, art galleries, parks and public gardens, so many things to choose from. The castle at Skipton has been really well preserved.
The guides are very informative and very amusing and really help the children understand the history of the castle. There is a little tea room to re-charge your batteries and the shop has a nice range of souvenirs, children’s toys and some interesting local books. You can also take a leisurely walk along the canal, a really lovely afternoon.
A tour around the “Copper Dragon Brewery” is recommended. You will have a guide to escort you around the brewery and make the trip more informative, along with some interesting and funny anecdotes.
The food in the restaurant is great and reasonably priced. There is also a gift shop on site selling a range of bottled beers as well as other Copper Dragon branded goods. Ideal for all those traditionalist beer drinkers!
