Mallorca or Majorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands, which are part of Spain and located in the Mediterranean. Palma is the islands capital.

The island enjoys a lively multinational community with more Brits and Germans than any other foreign nationality.

The high-quality of life on the island is a magnet to retirees, families and young professionals alike.

Whether you’re moving to the thriving cosmopolitan capital, Palma, the party town of Magaluf or the more peaceful confines of Son Vida, our specialist local knowledge will ensure your belongings arrive safely on Mallorca, without disruption.

    Our removals service

Our extensive fleet of vehicles, specialist local knowledge and experienced staff make us the standout choice for all removals to Mallorca.

We can arrange a free no obligation home survey and quotation, carried out by one of our qualified surveyors. They will answer any questions you have and offer advice where necessary.

The survey will determine the volume of effects you will be shipping. The total cost of shipment is based on the space your effects will take up in our vehicles.

    Regular removals to Mallorca

With a facility in Palma Mallorca we offer weekly removals services to and from Mallorca.

We operate a fleet of vehicles including Scania Road Trains to Mallorca and smaller vehicles which deliver to some of the more difficult locations on the islands of Mallorca, Minorca & Ibiza.

This includes either full load consignments that take your belongings direct from point A to B, or part loads that are delivered shortly after your arrival.

With full load services our team will arrange the unloading and unpacking of your household items exclusively onto our own fleet of trucks.

If you are moving with fewer items or are staggering your move to Mallorca you may want to opt for a part load service.

The service is completely the same but we will combine several customers’ loads onto one high-capacity truck to save time and reduce transport costs.

Our dedicated team in Mallorca will ensure all the relevant paperwork and customs clearance is processed correctly. They will arrange the unloading and unpacking of your household goods.

White & Company offers secure containerised storage facilities via its own depots. We have 19 secure units dotted throughout the UK and Spain can also offer storage facilities.

Most people living in Spain including Mallorca, must complete a ‘Declaracion de Renta’ (tax return) each year. This is necessary if you have a business or if you earn over a certain sum decided by the Tax Office each year.

You can hire the services of a Gestor for a fee (they can file your tax return for you). In some cases, it is possible to complete your return on-line.

The charges vary but normally the cost is around Euros 90 (£78.20) for a couple to submit a joint return.

EU citizens are free to purchase property in Mallorca and there are no restrictions.

Depending on your taste and budget, you will surely find something to suit.

Mallorca’s property market offers a wide variety of properties for sale, from an urban or resort apartment, to a sea-view villa, or a more traditional island farmhouse.

For those with expensive tastes and a big budget, some absolutely stunning homes can be purchased.

If you are from the EU, you will need to register with the local town hall. The  process is called (empadronamiento). The police will come and check with your neighbours that you live where you stated on the application form and you are then issued a Certificado de Empadronamiento.

Historically it was easy to find a cheap rental property, but times are rapidly changing, and renting is not as cheap as it used to be. That said, it is still cheaper than renting a home here compared to the UK.

As a guide, you can expect to pay around Euros 793 (£688.57) per month for a one bedroomed property in the city.

As long as you are paying social security contributions you are entitled to use the Spanish healthcare system. You will need to apply for a “tarjeta Sanitaria” from your local health centre.

If you are retired and you have a European Health Card, you can use this to gain entitlement to Health care.

Many people, including Spanish citizens, opt to pay for private medical health insurance in order to have added protection.

You will find that there are many insurance companies which can give you a reasonable quotation for this type of insurance.
