Leisure if Moving to Whitby
Whitby is reputed to be one of the most beautiful and fascinating towns of the North Yorkshire Coast, often referred to as the Jurassic coastline. Steeped in ancient history, largely due to the construction of the Abbey, in AD 657.
It boasts a long stretch of sandy beach front, the water is clean and in the summer months the beach is watched over by lifeguards. There are donkey rides too, a good old fashioned day out. The usual sea side shops are here along with the traditional fish and chip shop, perfect for the whole family.
The Board Inn is very popular. It is located at the end of old Church Street, you can sit and have lunch whilst enjoying the amazing views over the harbour. With its beamed ceilings and open brickwork it is a really relaxing way to spend a couple of hours enjoying good food, good atmosphere and excellent service.
Whitby’s famous 199 steps can be seen to the front of the Inn too. The accommodation is reasonably priced and the staff are very friendly. Just right for a weekend getaway.
