10 Reasons To Pack Your Bags And Move To Australia’s Gold Coast

If you’re looking to move to Australia but don’t want to follow the crowds to Sydney or Melbourne, the Gold Coast is well worth considering.

Stretching across Queensland’s stunning south-east coastline, the city of the Gold Coast boasts an enviably high standard of living complemented by over 57km of beaches.

Once perceived as a ‘tacky’ travel destination for inland holidaying Australians, the Gold Coast has repositioned itself as one of the most exciting and cultured destinations in Australia.

The successful hosting of the 2018 edition of the Commonwealth Games has helped bolster its international reputation, bringing both critical acclaim and further investment.

At just an hour’s drive from the state capital of Brisbane, the Gold Coast is also incredibly well connected to Queensland and the rest of Australia.

Not convinced yet? Here’s 11 reasons to pack your bags and move to Australia’s Gold Coast.

More bang for your Aussie Buck

The Gold Coast enjoys a very high standard of living and one which need not cost the earth.

Consumer prices are around 13% lower than London and rent is a staggering 48% cheaper than the UK capital!

If you’re looking to buy your own home you’ll find Australian houses are generously sized compared to the UK and tend to have a laundry room in addition to a separate kitchen diner.

Most houses on the Gold Coast are built with the weather in mind, factoring in an even greater outdoors area with ample room for a barbeque and dining areas, as well as space for kids to run around.

Winter is (never) coming

Seriously we are not kidding, ever.

Queenland is famed for its warm temperatures all year round.

Life on the Gold Coast consists of hot humid summers and warm, wet winters in a beautiful environment in which fauna and flora thrive.

If you’re not fond of the drier conditions found in the southern parts of Australia, Queensland’s mix of rain and sunshine, while maintaining high temperatures year-round, will be a welcome change.

One of the fastest growing regions in the whole of Australia
