Accommodation if you are thinking of moving to Taiwan
Most expats will choose to rent an apartment; houses are not common in Taiwan and most will be small studio-type accommodation. Rental prices in the larger cities will be much higher than apartments further out.
Try to find accommodation with air conditioning, as the summers are extremely hot. Most expats choose not to buy a property in Taiwan due to the extremely high prices, foreign nationals wishing to purchase a home will need to meet strict criteria in order to do so.
