Moving To Catford
Catford has some beautiful Victorian houses, reasonably prices compared to other areas in London. It has good parks, playgrounds and interesting grocers, good schools and an easy journey to central London.
The average asking price is £340,999 showing a 12/9% increase over the past twelve months. One-bedroom flats are available for around £220,000; the smaller Victorian terraces start at £300,000. Towards Hither Green tends to be more expensive. The Corbett estate has some good double fronted terrace houses. The Culverley Green area has some fabulous large Victorian Semis.
Catford and Catford Bridge will get you to Charing Cross in 20 minutes. Cannon Street takes 21 minutes; Beckenham and Bromley are a short train ride as well. If you’re driving, the South Circular is right there!
Schools If Thinking Of Moving To Catford
Rushey Green and Kilmorie are both good primary schools. Greenvale is an excellent secondary school.
The Catford Constitutional Club in Catford Broadway is must, it has a great atmosphere and is always full of a curious mix of bankers, builders and artists. The new Marrakech Express in Rushey Green is also very good.
