here are more than 10 primary schools and one large state comprehensive school serving the Bodmin area.

Things to do in Bodmin
Bodmin boasts more attractions than many other towns in the region.
Most famously, southwest of the town is Bodmin Moor. Historically, Bodmin was a landscape which engendered fear and awe, but it has also inspired writers, poets, and sculptors. The Moor is host to thousands of visitors each year and many come hoping to catch a glimpse of the elusive Bodmin Beast!
If you are a serious hiker, you have probably heard of the Camel Trail. A permissive cycleway that provides a recreational route for walkers, runners, cyclists, and horse riders. The trail runs from Padstow to Wenford Bridge via Wadebridge and Bodmin. 17 miles long, as many as 400,000 users each walk the route annually, generating an income of approximately £3 million a year.
The popular Bodmin Jail is currently undergoing a £30 million re-development to turn part of Cornwall’s 18th-century jail into a 63-bed hotel and visitor attraction.
Constructed in 1779 for King George III, Bodmin Jail played an important role in Cornwall’s history and this new work gives visitors the chance to delve into an intriguing hidden history and learn more about the fascinating History of Bodmin Jail.
Bodmin & Wenford steam railway is another great way to see the Cornish countryside. It presents a range of experiences, such as luxury first class dining, cream tea rides, driving the train and a whole host of monthly events.
Six miles south of Bodmin sits Restormel Castle. Standing in ruins amid beautiful countryside, Restormel is one of the most remarkable castles in Britain. The present circular structure, built in the late 13th century, was a luxurious retreat for its medieval owners and was twice visited by Edward, the Black Prince.
The castle has fantastic views across the valley of the river Fowey and is a favourite picnic spot.
Bodmin Property prices
For a relatively quiet housing market, there is an unusually wide range of property styles available. From terraced period properties to modern new housing projects such as Priory Meadows.
As with all towns and villages, there are some affluent areas which are very sought after.
Head to the southern suburbs of Bodmin, closer to the A30 and the golf course and you will find some very expensive homes.
