The small rural town of Clarkston is located in the Central Lowlands of Scotland in the county of East Renfrewshire. It lies approximately 5 miles from Barrhead, 7 miles from Paisley and 11 miles from the large city of Glasgow. It offers excellent housing and quality of life and has some outstanding schools.

The town is a haven for those who enjoy a round of golf with no less than five excellent courses all within a two miles radius of Clarkston. Cathcart Castle Golf Club was established in 1895 and is one of the oldest in the area.
The James Braid designed golf course is played over undulating parkland and offers a challenge to all levels of golfers. The course is surrounded by picturesque and panoramic views of the City of Glasgow.
Everyone will enjoy a day at The World of Wings. All manner of birds of prey can be seen; Hawks, Eagles, Owls, Falcons and other exotics, Scotland’s largest and most extensive Birds of Prey collection.
