Moving with Us in 4 Easy Steps!

1 Survey

We feel it is important that you know exactly what your moving costs will be upfront with no nasty surprises. To supply you with an accurate quotation, the first step is for one of our experienced surveyors to visit your home.

The surveyor will conduct a detailed pre-move survey to ascertain the volume of effects being moved. This involves them walking through the property room by room noting on their electronic tablet what items you want to transfer to your new home.

At this point you can discuss any special requirements or questions you may have. Issues such as access to your property or unusual items of furniture which require particular attention can also be discussed. A free no obligation written quotation will follow within 48 hours.

2 Quote

Once the consultation has been carried out, White & Company will always provide a written quotation within 48 hours. Our quotation will always outline exactly what is covered as per your instructions to the surveyor. The quote is our contract. Once you have signed and accepted it, the price is set, so you will know exactly what the bottom line will be.

Guesstimate

If you are not quite at the stage of wanting to receive a visit from our surveyors you can still take advantage of our Guesstimate tool. Just complete the quick estimate form on our website which will give you an approximate idea of the costs involved.

3 Packing

Having been specialists in removals for so long, we can assure you that there is nothing we have not moved. Packing requires a specific skill. By using top quality packaging materials, you have peace of mind that your precious belongings will be well protected and safe, minimising the risk of any breakages or damage during transportation.

When you choose the option of a full packing service, everything will be wrapped, packed and listed on a detailed inventory before being loaded onto the vehicle. You will receive a copy of the inventory once everything is loaded.

4 Moving & Storage

White & Company Farnborough is able to provide flexible storage solutions. You may need storage whilst you have building works carried out on your new home or you may be moving into rented accommodation for a short time.

Whatever your storage needs may be, whether it is the whole of your home or just a few boxes, we can help. We offer a range of different sized units with competitive prices, easy access in safe, dry and secure personally dedicated storage containers.

Why move to Farnborough

Situated in the heart of Hampshire, halfway between London and Southampton, Farnborough is a highly affluent and prosperous area perhaps best known for its aviation links, including the biennial hosting of the Farnborough International air show.

The town itself rests in a valley and is surrounded by some smaller towns such as Ash, Mytchett and the larger town of Aldershot. The river Blackwater flows close to the town on the Hampshire/Surrey border and is an idyllic place to have a stroll along its banks of farmland and wooded areas. There are lots of places to stop and enjoy a picnic or rest while enjoying the views.

Farnborough has recently benefitted from an £100,000 overhaul from the council to update the town centre. The scheme was designed to encourage retailers and landlords to enhance their shop fronts, windows and signage to attract more business and compete with out of town outlets while maintaining and promoting the history and Victorian character of the town.

Further development has also been earmarked in the form of four new housing development sites, which includes exciting proposals for the building of 700 new homes. Other proposals include economic commercial spaces to include a hotel, restaurants, shops, and leisure and community spaces.

The town enjoys excellent transport connections with the M3 just to the north and the A31 and A331 dual-carriageways south and east respectively. By train you are within a 40-minute commute to London Waterloo, one hour to Southampton, 26 minutes to Reading and 20 mins to Guildford. It is also only 30 minutes away from London Heathrow and 50 minutes from Gatwick, making it a fantastic commuter hub.
