The top venue in the town is the award-winning Queens Theatre. It was the recipient of the 2018 Clothworkers’ Theatre Award.

A competitive annual prize given to a regional producing theatre that has only ever been awarded five times. Showcasing the skills of a whole range of talented artists including technicians, female lighting experts, sound designers and many more who come together in making each show a complete success.
