    Bangor Abbey – Once famous for its learning and austere rule, is now a popular visitor attraction. The abbey has evolved over the centuries, destroyed by Viking attacks, and re-built by the Ulster-Scots in the 1600’s.

    Bangor Castle – Built in 1852 for The Hon Robert Edward Ward. It is presently home to Ards and North Down Borough Council. Situated in the grounds of Castle Park alongside the North Down Museum and is just a short walk from Bangor Castle Walled Garden. Accessible to visitors but only as guided tours.

    Bangor Aurora and Aquatic Complex – A new state of the art leisure facility built as part of a £34million investment. The complex features 3 swimming pools, including flumes and waves, and extensive gym facilities, a great family fun day out.

    The Ark Open Farm – Specialising in rare breeds, the farm itself is set in 40 acres of beautiful countryside between Bangor and Newtownards. It is home to a huge selection of farm animals and some that are a little more exotic.
