Things to do in Bradford
Bradford forms part of one of Lonely Planet’s top regions in the world and the county of Yorkshire was mentioned in the Best in Travel Guide 2014 so you will most certainly find something to do in or around the city that appeals to you.
The vast Yorkshire Moors and Ilkley Dales are nearby and are visited by millions of tourists each year.
The moors contain one of the largest expanses of heather moorland in the UK, covering an astonishing 554 square miles. Rugged and beautiful, the region presents a host of active things to do such as off-road biking, long hikes and wildlife spotting.
Shopping is also a popular pass time. The Broadway, a premier shopping and leisure complex in the centre of Bradford cost £260 million to build and houses over 80 shops featuring well-known high-street chains and some great independent shops selling a range of jewellery, collectables and vintage clothing.
Sunbridge Wells is an alternative underground retail complex which incorporates restaurants, bars and retail units. The unique location is built in a series of Victorian tunnels situated in the centre of Bradford.
