Moving with Us in 4 Easy Steps!

1 Survey

The surveyor will need to conduct a home survey to ascertain the volume of effects being shipped. This involves him/her walking through the property room by room noting what items are to be moved and recording it on their electronic tablet.

2 Quote

Once the consultation has been carried out, White & Company will always provide a written quotation within 48 hours. Our quotation will always outline exactly what is covered as per your instructions to the surveyor. The quote is our contract. Once you have signed and accepted it, the price is set, so you will know exactly what the bottom line will be.

3 Packing

When the client has accepted the quoted price and a move date has been secured, the vehicle and removal team will arrive at residence. The removal team will proceed to pack and wrap all items being moved in special breathable bubble wrap.

4 Moving & Storage

On the day of your move, our team will arrive in one of our specialised vehicles and complete the move. If for any reason the move cannot be completed. White & Company has storage facilities at 19 storage locations throughout the UK.

Why Move To Harrogate

Harrogate has been consistently voted as the “happiest place to live in the UK” and is affectionately known as the glittering jewel in Yorkshire’s crown. It is a popular commuter town due to it being located close to Knaresborough, Starbeck, Ripley and Ripon.

A highly sought-after town surrounded by the Stray (200 acres of grass parkland). It is home to a variety of amenities, including local restaurants, shopping, supermarkets, and schools – and renown for Turkish Baths in the town centre, which locals have been enjoying since the 1890s.

Situated close to both the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks, Harrogate offers visitors and inhabitants easy access to areas of natural beauty.

Working in Harrogate

There are approximately 9,000 companies operating in the district, employing around 75,000 people. Harrogate’s development is owed to the discovery of its chalybeate and sulphur rich spring water from the 16th century. Due to the medicinal properties of the waters, it fast became a spa town attracting visitors with a range of ailments.

Today, it is the UK’s centre of the “conference and exhibition industry”. Harrogate International Centre is the third largest fully integrated conference and exhibition centre in the UK, and one of the largest in Europe. Thousands of people attend its many business orientated shows bringing in over £150 million to the local economy every year.

Forecasts from the Harrogate District Strategic Partnership suggest that the town’s economy is set to grow by 20% in the decade up to 2023, with telecommunications and health services predicted to become very buoyant sectors in the future.
